Who is Constantin Chirila?

Hello, as you figured out by now, my name is Constantin Chirila, I am 21 years old, and I love graphic design and photography. Writing this part is always the hardest, so bare with me.

Like every story it all began at the age of 14, when I used to doodle cartoon figures and comic book characters. As I was growing up I started to figure out how movies and games were made. Soon after that I began to learn 3D modeling and effects, and I was also drawn to photography which helped me deconstruct the world that surrounds us, so I could replicate it in 3D. I learned a lot about shapes, colors and light. All of this (except photography) stopped when, in the struggle to build myself a fancy website for my portfolio, I discovered the beauty of 2D graphic design and how much you can do with it.

After a lot of graphic and web design study, at the age of 18 I got “hired” to make a website and a catalogue for a furniture company. It was then when I figured out I can earn money doing this. After that, I got paid for other projects, I have worked for a photo print shop for a brief period of time, learning more about photography, and basically grabbing every gig I could put my hands on. The most significant experience for me was working for 4 months as a volunteer in a web studio named Unique Illusion. Thanks to Adrian Pintilie, the creative director of this studio, I learned so many things about every aspect of this industry, managing to raise my work quality and ethic. Since then I have mostly free-lanced for local and international clients.

In parallel to this experience, I have grown as a photographer, having clients for weddings and product shoots. I took up a course on photography at “Photography Art School” and had a bunch of group and personal exhibits soon becoming a member of the renowned „Association of Romanian Artist Photographers”. I have also worked for 6 months as a fulltime photographer, for the best nationwide newspaper named “Adevarul”. Although I really enjoyed working for this newspaper, I started my own business and I had to quit the job.
